Expert or Specialist? The Key to Becoming the Best in Your Field

Updated: Apr 7

What is your specialty? Are you an expert at it? Do you consider expertise and specialization to be the same thing? And how did you become an expert?

For me, my specialty is building science, with home inspections as my area of expertise. I have a trained eye for evaluating a property’s condition and providing a detailed assessment in real time. My expertise comes from formal training, learning from industry leaders, and years of hands-on experience in home restorations, remodels, and inspections.

I specialize in many aspects of this field—some by choice, others by necessity (just being transparent). My goal is to educate and empower others because I’ve seen firsthand how valuable knowledge is for homebuyers, sellers, and property owners. Understanding the true condition of a residential or commercial property helps people make informed decisions and avoid costly surprises.

Want to better understand your home or property? Let’s connect! I’ll walk you through your home’s condition, provide homeownership tips, and explain common home inspection findings. Who knows—you might even decide to become a certified home inspector yourself!

Best,
