Get the Lead Out

There is no need to rush when lead pipe is present in the SEWER piping unless it is damaged, leaking, or easily accessible to the youth. However, it could be replaced to meet present standards.

Up to 1986, lead-based solder was used to join copper pipes commonly used in water SUPPLY piping. Mostly, this is not a health risk, but here is a link for you to read and decide for yourself.
